This Blog is dedicated to Dr. Beth Crachiolo, now the chair of the English and Theatre Department of Berea College. Beth is truly a wonderful person, and one hell of a teacher! For whatever reason, she seems to believe in my aptitude as a writer and has made it perfectly clear, on more than one occasion, that to not write would be a waste. So I am trying to do something I've never attempted before. Starting today, April 20, 2010, I will try very hard to post at least one new poem a day for 1 year. I'm sure most of them will be utter crap, but you never know when the muse might strike. Please feel free to respond to any post at anytime, I value constructive comments.

Unconditionally

all that i am
all i can be
all that you know
all that you see

all you can want
all you can feel
all that is fantasy
all that is real

all that is broken
all that endures
all that is me
all that is yours

  1. I sat here for a minute trying to figure out how to "like" this. Apparently I'm on FB too much.

  2. I appreciate that, the closest you can do here is "follow" so I guess it's twitteresque.... or whatever.

  3. tee hee... tee hee... you rhymed... this one doesnt really evoke anything in me... but considering that much modern poetry evokes regurgitation in me i suppose at least it doesnt do that... was surprised to see some structure... if you wrte a haiku i may have to giggle...

not that i think poetry SHOULD be structured... but i do think it can be a very good wroting exercise... sometimes challenges the mind a little more that just purging one's inside self on paper... err this non paper that is now our world that i still really dont get... on the one hand yay open platform for everyone, and theres so much beauty and talent and information that was missed out on preinternet social networking sites BUT sometimes its nice to know that someone worked their butt off and managed to impress a publishing company before their work is presented me... i mean, sure, books cost money and kill trees... but theres also something really special about it... and i cant wait till your first is published... make it substantial and worth my wait, will ya?
